A “can’t create folder” error

When installing the plugin, occasionally users get “can’t create folder” error. Here are two possible solutions:

1) In some cases, be sure that Photoshop is closed before installing the plugin from the Extension Manager. Similarly, the Extension Manager should have admin rights.

2) As a workaround, manually create a folder…

On Windows:
C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4Plug-InsPanelsColoRotate
And inside it:
C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS4Plug-InsPanelsColoRotatecontent
You are putting “ColoRotatecontent” inside Photoshop’s Panels directory… if your Photoshop is installed on another drive, e.g., “D:”, then replace “C” with “D” above.

On a mac:
Create a similar folder here:
Applications:Adobe Photoshop CS4:Plug-ins:Panels:ColoRotate:content
(That’s a “ColoRotate” folder in “Panels”, and a “content” folder inside “ColoRotate”)

Then try re-installing. If that still does not work, please contact us, and we will send you a zip file to manually copy into the “content” folder.
